I have a simple question that I haven't been able to find a definitive answer to:
In the Chicagoland market, does Comcast "enable" the HDMI port on the DCT6416 DVR that they provide?
I've gone through 3 boxes, and none of them have shown the port to be "enabled" on the diagnostic menu. When I have attempted to connect my Vizio GV42L display to the DVR via HDMI, I am unable to get it to work.
I've been utilizing component video direct to the display with optical connectivity to my audio receiver with success, but was hoping to try using the HDMI output to see if I noticed any improvement in display.
Any notes in this area would be appreciated...
