Dead or Alive Extreme 2

I downloaded this trailer from XBLM, since I like the DOA series, and I expected the graphics on this new game to be spectacular. It is, after all, more of a graphics showcase than a serious game.

Well, there are some impressive graphical effects at work, but I was very disappointed by one aspect: call it "differential jiggling." Yikes! Fans of DOA have been treated to some eye-candy throughout the series, and the female characters have always been generously endowed and rather...bouncy. But in the trailer for DOAX2, the jiggling has become almost freakish. I hope the programmers will tone that down a bit, and go for a more subtle effect.

Some new non-volleyball activities are highlighted in the trailer, most notably jet-ski riding. That looks fun.

I doubt we'll be so lucky, but I consider this one of those titles that ought to be released at a lower price-point, such as Top Spin 2 or Table Tennis. It may be fun and pretty, but it's not even intended to be on par with, say, "Ninja Gaiden 2."

I agree, I cracked up laughing watching the individual bouncing. So THIS is what next gen gaming is all about... each breast has it's own AI. LOL
I like the way they move. They're not "freakish", they're "Sexy". Bring It on Itagaki!! :D
There was no gameplay in that trailer. It was all the prerendered intro that will play at the beginning, just like DOAX1.
I can't beleive someone actually said it. Yep, it's way overdone. I thought it was funny as hell. They need to link them in the physics somehow about 60% and reduce the jiggliness by about 30%. There. Fixed!
Shouldn't both sides bounce equally and in the same direction of momentum with vertical motion? Whats this one side up the other side down thing they got going on?

In doa1 and doa2 there was a setting in options marked age and that would determine the bounce.

I read that the video for that trailer was "real time, in-game" stuff. Regardless, the real-time graphics in Team Ninja games are usually pretty good.
the graphics were are on the first one, however the gameplay is about as shallow as could be even for a volleyball game.
That nonsync boob bounce business is so pervertedly goofy looking that it rocks.

But I'd like to see Itagaki take it to the next level and have them rotating in different directions at the same time... kind of a "wax on, wax off" sorta thing.

While there was no gameplay I'm pretty sure it was running on a 360. It just looks that good. Re-affirming my faith in Team Ninja as a dev house that can produce the very best graphics after the disappointing (graphically speaking... I love the way it plays) DOA4. DOA4 looked like an xbox game running in hi res. Hell if I didnt have an HDTV i doubt I would see any difference at all! But this DOAX2 looks suberb. This looks next gen! I hope the racing is fun and they rework the volleyball tho... I could care less about tug-o-war.

After watching that trailer... I was intrigued. Emperical finding is that:

If the woman is wearing any supportive underclothing, the bounce is synchronized, as the underclothing basically causes both breasts to move as a single unit.

If the woman is not wearing anything restrictive, ie, real breasts with no extra implants, in a somewhat loose bikini... the bounce is actually quite close to that shown in the trailer. Each one is reacting directly to the side of the body it is on and less directly to the opposing side, it seems.

P.S.: I'm starting a collection to pay off my 'indecent leachery' citation obtained while undertaking this experiment.

The jiggling is freakish?

105lb Asian girls sporting double D's is normal? :p
I think its our responsibility as gamers to prevent Team Ninja from making a serious mistake.

We should-- no-- we must look at as much video footage of real women running on the beach in bikinis or in flimsy shirts with no bras or just plain nekked.

We must study the breast in detail and in different environments for bouyancy in order to make informed judgements.

We must look at not only japanese girls, but all girls of all nationalities and races with double Ds to make sure they get the bounce "just right".

It's just the right thing to do...

I will bear/bare arms to your cause. We shall call ourselves the DDOAX, the Double-D Observation Agents Extraordinaire
Watch "Monty Python's The Meaning of Life," and replay the sequence with Graham Chapman being chased by those ladies for some emperical data as part of your DDOAX research.

Aside from each boob having its own jiggle there wasn't much that really distinguished this game as a next gen title.
