Deadlands rot??

3686 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  tomtastic
I just received this today and I have a problem. The disc that is on the right side in picture 4 & 5 comes up with errors in all 4 of my players. The other disc works fine. I was told that if the discs say "3rd generation support" it wont work on earlier machines or out of date firmwares. Both of the discs say 3rd generation support on them but only 1 disc doesnt work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These are HD-DVD-R discs (burned, not pressed). It wouldn't surprise me if the occasional coaster was made, if there was bad recordable media in the first place, or if there was disc rot over time.
My copy didn't work either when I bought it. I should have returned it to seller but I didn't test it right away, my mistake.

I don't think it has anything to do with software version. I've burned some HD-DVD-R's and they played find on my XA2 and it's the final updated version. I think I used the same software to burn as Deadlands. It's probably a bad disc just like mine. And I know my disc is bad because I should be able to rip it but I can't do that either. It's just dead.
