Today on Woot! there's a Acer Space-Saving Multimedia Desktop that could make for a nice little HTPC. Add an external TV Tuner and you'd be all set.

Here are the features listed on the site:

* Space-saving, environmentally friendly design

* One-third the size of a conventional tower PC

* Stylish and sleek high-gloss black bezel

* Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor E2220 (1MB L2 cache, 2.40GHz, 800MHz FSB)

* 4GB (2/2) DDR2 SDRAM

* 640GB SATA hard drive

* Nine USB 2.0 (five front, four back)

* 1 eSATA port is an excellent choice for external disk storage

* Variable-speed Super-Multi drive

* NVIDIA® GeForce® G100 graphics

* VGA, HDMI, DVI, headphones, microphone and five audio ports

* Gigabit LAN

* V.92 modem

* Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit version

* Embedded high-definition audio with 5.1-channel audio support

* Dimensions: 10.4 (265mm) W x 12.4 (315mm) D x 3.9 (100mm) H

* Power Supply: 220 watts

It's going for $300 + $5 shipping. Not bad for what you get.

Except the only expansion is taken up by the video card, and my guess is because of the size and even though there is a second hdmi connector onboard, it shares the GPU with the external card.

but other than that, not bad

You can find more specs and photos from newegg:

It seems that there is actually a PCI x1 slot used by a modem. It may be possible to replace it with a DTV Tuner. Also the motherboard seems to have onboard GeForce 7100. So it may also be possible to remove the graphics card. Not a bad deal but price is still too high since it is refurbished and you don't get Windows 7 which is very desirable for HTPC.
