Do any of these music stores provide good quality levels? I'm seeing 128kbit all over the place.

One would figure we would be getting at least cd quality to our hearing (like 192+/- LAME VBR or something, if not lossless flac or whatever). I mean what's the point of paying for an album that costs just about as much as getting the cd when the quality is even up there?

Trying not to rant on this, it's just annoying that I can't find redbook legal downloads.

its called bandwidth limitations. 650 or even 700 meg downloads is allot of bandwidth.. they have to balance between the dialup and broadband and even the different levels of broadband users.. then you have server load and server capacity.. to be honest with you most people cant tell the difference between 128 and 192.. i didnt say everyone i said most... but if you want cheep cds goto the used cd places.. its how i amassed my cd collection. 7 bucks a pop is allot better then 15average..

Ya that's what I've been doing.

I think I'll just stick to it.

But I don't know, it's just a world of difference between 128 and 192-Base VBR LAME ripped with EAC, for not much of a size difference.
