I am currently torn between a few choices in Integrated Amps for playing bass heavy music.

I've invested in speakers, Klipsch RB81s & an SVS2000 sub. I really didn't want to spend over $400 on an amp, but don't want to waste speakers like these on junk.

I was planning to get a budget amp for now and upgrade later. The Yamaha A-S500 is well reviewed and on sale now that a newer version is out http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha--S500B...&qid=1429838210&sr=8-1&keywords=yamaha+a-s500.

Then I read some criticisms of its bass output, which made me look elsewhere.

I found the Onkyo A-9050 in the same price range, and it looked great in peer reviews until I read a critique on whathifi.com.. Is that a reputable source or a corporate shill? I'd say this is still the frontrunner.. http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-A-9050-...p/B009JBZFVK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

And then I'm tempted to go out of budget and get a Marantz PM6005, but I'm thinking if I'm gonna spend that much, I might as well wait and get something top of the line in a year or two. Is it worth it or should I go budget & then go big later? http://www.amazon.com/Marantz-PM600...p/B00EE18LQG/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

Any other suggestions in this range for these purposes? Personal experience with any of these units appreciated over brand bias or hearsay :)

Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to help!

FWIW I have the new A-S501 and I can say it does not lack any bass. It makes a beautiful pair with my Chane A5RX-C. Although I will be upgrading to the 801 with the upscale USB DAC because I have a friend that is giving me a crazy deal and most of my music is on HDD. Currently using Tidal HiFi with YBA11 BT adapter and it is sweet!

I would say it depends if you want a bit warmer sound (Marantz) or a more neutral sound (Yammy) and what sources you will use.

You may consider looking for a used 6005. I found one on usaudiomart
