Have narrowed the search. Replacing a 26inch Sony tube workhorse. Watch mainly DVD in the dark or near dark bedroom from about 12 ft away with a downward angle. Have space limitations. Will probably upgrade to Blu ray in the future. There is about 100$ price difference. Picture quality and color is the most important feature. Other concerns are ease of use and setup, maintainance and support, and sound.
