Seems that in the last few builds, streaming from DVArchive don't work. regardless the inclusion of '/video' in the path info.

But I haven't tried with XBMC build from 15 Jan 2005.

RTV streaming still works, although with jaggies & no CA.

I can stream from DVA just fine with the 1/15/05 build of XBMC.

I softmodded my box, no chip needed.

I'm using a build from late january and streaming from RTVs and DVarchive to the xbox works. One thing I have noticed is that the picture quality out of the xbox is better than it is out of the RTV. I am using component output to my HDTV for both the RTV and the xbox so my guess is the component video hardware in the xbox is newer/better than the RTV? The xbox doesn't automagically skip commercials though so I am still watching shows with my RTV :)

Do you folks have to do something to get XBMC to work with ReplayTV? I notice on the Replay line it shows "rtv://*/". Are you supposed to fill in the ip of the Replay unit there?

No, XBMC found my ReplayTVs automatically. It doesn't see DVArchive, and I haven't spent any time looking into why.

I decided to do use a fresh build of XBMC. Running Build date 2/1 now and it's working fine. I edited the xml file to include my ReplayTV unit. Still confused about how XBMC finds it automatically, but this will do just fine.

Thnx fellas.

No problems here in DVA streaming to Executer2-modded Xbox since last summer.

fubie, you probably don't remember but you helped show me the light on XBMC a long time ago.

Well, last night I finally took the plunge, using this web site...
http://www.how2xbox.tk/

An XBox from ebay, a $10 contoller to USB cable and $20 memory module I successfully softmoded my XBox and installed the 2-1-05 build of XBMC.

I had some stumbling blocks but now that I know what I'm doing I could do another in about 15 minutes.

You don't realize how cool it is until you use it.

The default configuration saw my Replay 5040 automatically and I was streaming from it no problem.

So thanks to you and everyone else on the forum who keeps mentioning this great project.
