Hi,

I have some interlaced video files at 30fps encoded using DivX 5.0.5 Pro and HUFFYUV. I know I could convert them into a deinterlaced format using VirtualDub.

However is there any way to tell the media player to deinterlace the the video file during playback using BOB? Both formats must have tagged the videostream to be interlaced, so the fields are separated. All the player needs to do is to show 60 separate fields per second.

Are there any settings or filters that I could use to convince MS Media Player 9 or ShowShifter 2.0 to do the deinterlacing during playback?

Thanks, Thomas

Use ffdshow - it has a deinterlacing algorithm with it.
