I am trying to figure out if dejudder (AMP - I have a Samsung) and 24fps play nice together? I have 24fps turned on on my Bluray player and my TV shows it is receiving a 24fps signal. I have heard it does not make sense to have both 24fps and dejudder on together. Is this true? The theory I usually hear is dejudder adds frames so it does not make sense to pair it with a lower (24fps). If I want to use dejudder is it better to set the Bluray to 60fps?

24fps is the native source, so for smoothest playback regardless of the processing you apply it makes sense to start with the native frame rate and go from there.

any type of 120hz processing, is likely going to do some sort of cadence detection to get back to 24fps before adding image processing.

So the answer is no, you're best bet is to leave the blu-ray player at 24fps and let the display do all the processing. Although I much prefer to leave it at 24fps, and go with the "film" look over the "Video" look of 120hz processing.
