My church is thinking of running 2 service in 2 locations. The second location will need have the video delayed a little bit (

I'd like run my low cost solution by the group, and see if there any better ideas, and possibly feedback on if it would work at all.

The idea:

- in the 1st location, have a computer hooked up to a video camera, encoding the video and audio to a video file. The video capture card I heard would be good is:

Hauppauge WinTV PVR 250 PCI

- in the 2nd location, read the video file over the existing 802.11G network. I assume that I'd be able to find some video player that would be okay with pausing play, and resuming play were we left off.

Any better ideas? Will this work, or will the video be choppy? I was thinking of using MPEG2 video file format.. is that the best for this?

THANKS for your comments/suggestions!

Just curious: why must the video be delayed? We have done church AV distribution to multiple locations, but have never needed to delay....

But then again, we might be speaking apples and oranges.

Thanks.
