At dell they have a 3100MP. I cannot figure out who made it. I searched around to no avail.

It states that its only connector is DVI ??

Curently its $2499


Anybody know anything about it?

It should have more connectors than that. Check out the included components:


Projector, carry case, remote, batteries, DVI-I to D-Sub Cable, S-video, RCA audio composite video, power cord and remote mouse Y cables

A small foot note on the page says the manufacturer p/n is 3R416


I would like to find out more about it but I'm not finding anything.

Microdisplay Report (if your company doesn't subscribe, you can't afford it) says it's from Optoma - same as Compaq and HP.


With that contrast ratio and that price, my guess is that they are using an obsolete TI chip - not the 12 deg. of the HP.

yep it's from Coretronic (maker of Optoma) and from what I've heard, MDproject is dead on about them using older parts.
