What do you guys think would be the better deal and why both can be had for the same price. All I need is 5.1 right now. I honestly like the looks of the denon better.

1610, uses better version of Audyssey if that matters.

Depends on what your requirements are ....


Onkyo 160:

Pro: Front Height/Zone2 powered connection

Con: Poor upscaling ability; Audyssey 2EQ (no sub filters)


Denon 1610:

Pro: Audyssey MultEQ (includes sub filters)

Con: No upscaling at all, no powered front height
