So previously I had all my gear on a tv stand and a short hdmi cable to the TV, no issues.

I put all my gear in the closet, ran a 35' in wall and used hdmi wall plates to finish it off (helped since cable was about 2' too short). sat box worked fine, bluray wouldnt even give a picture.

So I replaced all of that with a nicer, thicker 50' in-wall so there were no wall plates/couplers. The picture works fine now. The other day I turned it on, it would firework a whole row of pixels red every now and then, then went away after about 30 seconds.

today, I used the ps3 again, but the random row of pixel fireworks every 20-30 seconds never went away.

So, I dont know if its the ps3 hdmi out is weak, the denon is weak or having handshake issues or if I just need an hdmi booster.

Any ideas?

ok so the booster didnt fix the issue.....actually seemed to make it worse

so now Ive gotta decide if its a receiver issue or a ps3 issue. with the shorter cable on the previous setup it was fine, so im thinking its a receiver handshake issue???
