Before anybody lectures about movies being widescreen and not filling the whole screen speech, read first.
Example: The Matrix
On my old Toshiba Progressive Scan DVD player running through component the movie was 16X9 full screen. I looked great! I always thought this was odd and I know for a fact it wasn't zoomed in.
Now with the new Denon the screen looks grainy. I have it setup for 16X9 and progressive scan through component but it isn't filling the whole screen like the Toshiba.
I have a ED Panasonic Plasma if that maters. Settings on the TV have not changed.
Can anybody give me any insight as to a possible reason for this? Will it look better if I connect the DVD player through DVI (I would have to invest more money for the DVI blade)?
Thanks for any help or suggestions!
