HI, Does any one know if the dvi output from the dvd 2910 output hdcp streams from all dvd's, or only those that have it recorded taht way?


(i HAVE A CRT AND AM LOOKING FOr a denon that will output dvi w/o hdcp so my out board scaler will output an analog signal)

The Denons will only "shake hands" with displays that are also HDCP.

All current players (that I'm aware of), except for the Momitsu V880 Deluxe, utilizes HDCP with the DVI and HDMI output.


HDCP is a hardware based solution. The source initiates the handshake. No handshake, no signal passed.
