Denon 3801 Help

384 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Wutang
Ok...my final choices for a receiver have come down to the 3801 and the Onkyo DTR 7. I am leaning towards the Denon though. Anyone out there that has the 3801 can you tell me if I am going the right way? And could you also let me know where I can get it for the lowest price? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I suppose it depends on what you want and how each sound to you. The integra has a better warranty and is THX select certified. The Denon has DTS ES discrete and more channels of amplification.
What is DTS ES Descrete anyways and why is it an advantage?
DTS ES discrete uses a discrete rear center channel istead of a matrixed one used in DD EX and DTS ES Matrix. There is some pretty good info on the denon 3801 in the audio guest forum by david birch jones of denon.
