OK, sounds easy enough but how. While assigning new inputs the menu system gives you the option to rename the input > it highlights the existing label and says you can use most any letter or number you want. So how do you input the new name.


I want to change DVD to Blu-ray on HDMI 1 and DVD to HD-DVD on HDMI 2.

Did you read the manual?

Yes, I did... Source Select > Rename (pg 38-39). It says it can be done but doesn't say anything about how to do it.

I'm pretty sure that using the arrow-pad:


- left/right scrolls between letters

- up/down will change the selected character


did you try actually pushing any buttons on the remote or were you just staring at the screen hoping for a new name?

I did almost all my setup through my web browser. I didn't even touch the remote for the first hour! I love it.
