So I returned the Yamaha s1500 (wasn't happy with the navigation / display) and am currently looking at the Denon 3910 and Arcam dv-78. Both players are within $100 of each other so I was hoping to get some input from this forum.


The player will feed into an Arcam AV300 / Sharp Z10000


If I use the DVI out, I will need some form of switch, as I currently run my cable box to the DVI in on the projector

For the same price, I don't believe the Arcam upscales.

Hope you mean the DV79. The DV78 doesn't have HDMI.

No SACD on either the DV78 nor the DV79..

It's actually the dv-78; the dv-79 costs quite a bit more (out this way at least).
