By looking at the 5805 it seems to be a great reciever but for many somewhat overkill. By reading posts here it seems many of us are looking for a reciever with several HDMI/DVI inputs for future proofing. (Two in one out won't get it!)

The 4805 could be that receiver if it floats in between the 3805 and 5805 in terms of power, inputs etc.

Anyone heard anything yet?

I e-mailed Denon about the 4805 and they replied that "the 48xx would be due out in Jan.'05". I have not heard anything else since the e-mail which was about a month ago.

Yes. Denon missed the 4803, so it is about time for the 4805 to enter the receivers arena.

Considering the 3805's huge success and the amazing new features present in the new 5805 (and its oveerwhelming price, BTW), the 4805 should be the ideal candidate for those who are very fond of Denon receivers.

I don't keep up on Receivers until it is time for me to upgrade (and that time is approaching for me), how often does Denon change their products? I want a receiver with HDMI switching - the Denon 2805 with 100w/ch is my price range but does not have HDMI. When can we expect a sub $1000 Denon receiver with HDMI switching? 1 year, 2 years?
