i need some opinions before i buy my next reciever....

i work for Control4 as a traveling Feild Tech and am completely addicted to all things Home Theater. This is a consuming hobby for me. i troll the forum on a regular basis, but have not yet posted anything.

i am upgrading from a Yamaha RXV-2700.

powering Paradigm Studio 100 V2's and Paradigm Atom surrounds. NHT 2C center speaker. tv is a Samsung 61A750 rear-projection. 1080p LED. i love it.

my theater is a very large family room that opens to the kitchen on one side and my office on the other. with a hallway leading off in either direction. my wife and i watch alot of movies, but i am also VERY concerned about sound quality. i have a great collection of SACD's and Blu-Ray concerts. all my cables are homebuilt, and my room is covered with my DIY sound panels.

i will be controlling either unit via IP through my Control4 automation system.

i have had my heart set on the Denon 4810 but i was pursuaded to try the Integra 80.1 while traveling this week in North Carolina.

i am having a really tough time finding any reviews/impressions of the 80.1.

what do y'all think?

Based on the description of your room environment I think the Denon would be a better option since the Audyssey implementation on it is better and more flexible than the Integra 80.1. Also, In terms of features and overall sound quality the Denon sounds better with more dynamics, clarity, channel separation and overall surround envelopment experience as well as stereo performance.

Hope I could be of help.

Look in this forum, you'll find threads devoted to the Integra 80.1 and the Onkyo Pro 5507 (which is essentially the same unit but rebranded). There's lots of information available to help you make a decision.
(I'm in the market, too, and still trying to decide...)

Why is the Audyssey better on the 4810 better than the Integra 80.1? I thought they use the same Audyssey flavors, and tricks?
