With Alan's permission, I'd like to see if anyone is interested in participating in a group purchase of the Denon 5800. No pricing has been made available to dealers yet and availability is still 2 weeks away. However, I have a couple of sources and we are putting together a mega-GP, so the pricing should be outstanding. If you are interested please shoot me an email so I can get a preliminary count. Serious buyers only please. Since Denon raised the price to $3800, I wouldn't expect we'll get it for less than $2600.

Once we get enough info I'll let all of you that are interested know more specifics.

Hello,

I would be interested for sure. I actually have asked about price from my local dealer and he said that he "couldn't" sell it for less than $3600. If we could get it for around $2600, that would be awesome.

Let me know if it really happens.

Thanks,

Brian

Some people claim to have used the other Denon receivers(with component switching) to pass HDTV signals succesfully with no video degradation.
