Hello,


I've been slowly putting together a home theatre system. Today I purchased a sub - Klipsch RPW-10. I've hooked it up to the receiver and ran the Audyssey setup. It picked up the subwoofer and all tests completed okay.


Now to the issue. The sub doesn't seem to be active when watching HD cable or playing music through the PS3. It only goes active when I play a ps3 game... I tried the different music buttons on the remote (STD, D/ST) and none seem to get the sub to go on.


The sub is connected with an RCA audio cable to the subwoofer connection on the receiver (pre-out).



What do I have to do on the receiver to get the subwoofer on at all times?

Hi FTA_FTW, if you haven't already done so read Batpig's Setup Guide & FAQ . Also I would suggest you take a look at the 1610/590 Owner's thread as many similar questions are answered there as well. Post your subwoofer settings and audyssey settings in the 1610/590 Owner's thread as you will get more help there.

What did the Denon set your sub trim to after AUTO SETUP? You may want to adjust the volume/gain knob on the sub and rerun AUTO SETUP again.
