I'm the happy owner of a denon 5900 (A11 in europe). I have question on the two different settings for progressive scan; auto 1 and 2.

When should I use auto 1 and when should I use auto 2?? My dvd collection is about half NTSC moviesm half PAL movies.

They are essentially the same except that Auto 2 recognizes material master in 2:2 video. I would leave it in Auto 2.

Just weird that denon has it on auto 1 on default. And the manual is not of much help.
