Denon AVR-1604 vs Pioneer VSX-D912

Haven't seen much talk comparing these two lower-end receivers. I've read a lot of good about the Pioneer, but my gut tells me to go with the Denon. Denon is about $100 more. They seem very similar, although the Pioneer has 110W per channel vs only 75 for the Denon. Is this a big deal?(I'll be using Def Tech speakers, 95% HT and 5% music.) Has anyone out there has enough experience with the 1604 to compare it to the 912? Thanks for any advice!

I like Denon gear, but I'd give the nod to the 912 in this case. With the Pioneer, you can use the sound setup feature to adjust your levels. Plus, the 912 has pre-outs. Should you desire more power down the road, you could easily attach a separate power amp.
