Hello there,
I am thinking about purchasing a Denon AVR-1707 A/V Reciever but have a question.
Currently I run a Panasonic 5.1 Home Theatre system. In the same room I also run 4 large speakers (2 pioneer, 2 H.H. Scott) which run completely seperately off a different amp.
The first question is: as the Panasonic DVD home theatre system does not have any outputs (such as TOSlink) I cannot connect this to the Denon, so instead will I be able to run an optical toslink cable from my PS3 AND/OR Xbox 360 and play DVDs with 5.1 surround sound (completely ignoring the panasonic unit itself, and just using the existing Panasonic speakers attached to the denon reciever). I will basically be using the games consoles as the DVD player but wondered if the 5.1 surround sound would function.
I hope i havent made this too complicated to understand
Thanks.
