My denon avr-2312 is now displaying two volume bars on my Samsung 550 plasma tv. I have been able to turn off the master volume via the option > GUI setting. But the second volume box which says avr-2312 and a relative number is displayed.


They both turn on and off about when pressing volume up or down. And off a second after stopping the adjustment.


I can not figure out how to turn this off. Not sure how I turned it on.


Only change is that I installed Google Chromecast yesterday and must have hit something?

One is from the TV and the other from the AVR. Try setting the Samsung Anynet+ to OFF.

Thanks for the Anynet+ tip I think you are on to the issue. However when I turn Anynet+ (HdMI-CEC) off it turns off the sound altogether Picture is not affected. But at that point I see only a volume bar for the AVR and NOT the second bar. That's what I want.


If I can get sound and one volume bar it's a victory!

Ok problem solved

The Denon avr 2312 options HDMI control setting needs to be set to " off" then the second volume setting display box will go away.


Thanks for the tip it was related to the Anytime+ net being activated.
