Ignoring the many extra DSP modes the Yamaha RX-V2095 has over the Denon AVR-3300, what is your opinion of the Denon AVR-3300 vs. the Yamaha RX-V2095? Two big factors for me are the lower list price of the Denon ($1000 vs. $1600 for the Yamaha) and the fact the Denon has component video switching which is attractive to me.

I want to make sure I'm not missing any important differences between these receivers.

Go with the Denon. You get the 5 channel stereo and the ability to have both movie and music surrounds.

I heard that the AVR-3300 component video switching won't work with an HDTV signal due to its extreme bandwith (the AVR-3300 component video was designed for the lower band width of DVD, not HDTV?). Has anyone with a AVR-3300 tried passing an HDTV signal through the receiver??
