I need some help. last night i went to watch a movie and could not get the sound out. video was fine but no audio, then i could not get my cable picture or sound to come out?

I am hoping it is a reset problem...I am at work now and threw a small fan by it and will try it again when i get home but any all reponses or ideas as to what the problem is would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Frustrating!!! Hopefully it's something easily fixable...

Doing the microprocessor reset won't hurt anything (you will need to reset all of your FM stations, level settings and such though). Also check all of your speaker wiring, along with the connections at each end. Kids, pets and things like furniture moves can be the cause of wiring issues.

Did the sound ever work at all last night? If it worked and then died, it could be a heat issue like you mention too. Don't stack ANYTHING on top of it. Give it plenty of breathing room.

If it never worked, make sure the input was set ok. For eg., not set on the analog External Inputs. Or not set to strictly DTS when the input signal was PCM.

Hopefully one of these suggestions can help. Good Luck!
