I was in Best Buy and saw the Denon AVR 587 HTIB system for $499. I was planning on building a 5.1 system using components - but does this system truly come with Denon's quality? I was planning to get the Yamaha HTR 5950 Receiver and 2 HTD middies for speakers - and then a Velodyne subwoofer. I would still have to buy a dvd player and the other 3 speakers.
Is this Denon system worth it? Would it be a good idea to buy it for the receiver/dvd player/subwoofer - and then replace the front speakers with HTD Middies? Please let me know your thoughts, thanks.
