i bought the hk avr 254 for $500 (CAD) and i think the on-screen set up is very conveient, however the denon 889 is on sale for 499 (CAD) is it worth returning the hk for the denon?

The 789 is more comparable with the 254. I'd say the 889 is a step up.

I had the HK 240 and the extended warranty bought me a new one. I picked the Denon 889 and I think it's great. I like HK and had 2 over the years. I find the Denon seems to have more power and just sounds more robust. The Denon on screen sucks and the remote could be better. The manual was not well laid out.
