I got a great deal on a Denon AVS-889 receiver. I got it home, hooked it up and I can get the onscreen menu on my tv. I am using an component cable to connect the receiver to the TV.The Sony plasma tv puts out Video 4 which is correct but it shows a signal of 525/60. I figuired there would be a video out signal selection in the menu but I could not find anything. I was using a Marantz SR8001 and it worked fine, so it should work. Has anyone come across anything like this.

Thanks

Mark

Sorry. If you change inputs, in the top right hand corner the TV shows what input you are on and the signal.

Basically

Video 4

525/60

The 525/60 is where I get confused. What is that?

Technically it is PAL....

You know there are two Standard Def standards.. Pal (Think mostly Euro here) and NTSC (Think mostly U.S. here)

I talked with the Denon tech guy today said that it could be the receiver. Anyone have any issues like the one I'm having?

Thanks,
