The 1600 has a "Lighter "and "Darker" setting. Which one is 0 IRE?


Has anyone used the "User" setting to adjust contrast, brightness, sharpness and color?

Darker=0IRE, Lighter=7.5IRE, for progressive scan output on component video 0IRE is the correct setting. The "user" controls only work in interlaced mode.

The Lighter/Darker setting also only affects it in interlaced mode. So, if you use it in progressive mode it doesn't matter how you leave it.


If you do use it in interlaced mode, you may want to leave it at Lighter since that is more likely to match up with your other NTSC/480i components (vcr's, STBs, etc.)
