Looking at the Denon Web Site they say that the Denon 1600 plays DVD-R Conditionally •"


It has a Star by it.


What does this mean. Does it not work all of the time like with other players.


Has anyone had any luck with DVD-R Copies on Denon?

All the manufacturers include a similar conditional (cover their ass) statement. Its to protect against the many DVD-Rs that are authored incorrectly with many PC DVD-R burner software bugs. I would say the Denon DVD-1600 is no better or worse in this respect. It should never have a problem with correctly authored DVD-Rs.
