Denon DVD 9000 vs 5910 CRT Component - KRIS?

I currently have a DENON DVD 9000 running via component 480p into a Pioneer 64" CRT.

There is an oppurtunity to purchase a 5910 at a great deal, but since my set has no digital input I can't take advatage of the 1080i up-conversion.

I am wondering if anybody has direct experience with both of these players and if the 5910 is actually better via 480p component than the 9000?

Also, I am using the players 5.1 analog outs for all processing, so the audio quality is a major factor. The 5910 does MORE with the addition of SACD, but I have read that the D/A converters in the 9000 were actually BETTER sounding than the current Burr Browns.

KRIS, maybe you can shed some light on this for me?

Thanks!
