Denon SW Help?

Picked up the 487 from CC the other day, got everything hooked up okay & sounds great but for some reason the SW keeps going into standby mode. I'll shut it off from the back for awhile, turn it back on and it's fine( green light) It'll paly for about 3,4,5 minutes or so and then go back into standby. Any input on this would be appreciated.

Are you listening to anything that would require the sub?

And the volume on the recvr needs to be turned up past a certain point for the sub to be working. Like it says in my onkyo manual "turn it up". Check the troubleshooting section in your owners manual to see what it says also.
