Title says it all. What's your take? Running emptek e55ti tower speakers in a large space. I can pick up either for about 400.

The 1223 is going to have a power advantage and if your not concerned with EQing a sub MCACC has an huge advantage over the Audyssey in that model denon.

Minimal power advantage, maybe 10W or so based on how Pioneer rates AVRs using higher THD values to come up with higher Watts rating for marketing purposes and the Audyssey MultEQ XT on the X2000 will not only EQ the sub (when added) but likely do a better job on the speakers as well. Also X2000 comes with a 3 year warranty vice only 1 year on the 1223.

Thanks for all your input.  I went with the x2000. The extra power of the pioneer wasn't enough to win me over and I like Denon's iphone app more.  Audyssey seems like it will be better as well.

The pioneer will do as good or better on the speakers plus you can actually adjust the settings unlike denon's take it or leave it.

And the pioneer with the D3 amps makes significantly more power especially with more than 2 channels driven and is 4 ohm capable unlike the denon.

Congrats. Yes, indeed it will. Be sure to review posts #3-6 in the 2013 Denon E/X Owner's thread for helpful setup/troubleshooting information on your new X2000.
