Have you run Audyssey with the mic that came with your recevier?
Surrounds don't spit out much information.Hello all. I am trying to figure out exactly how to wire my new system. I have tried using the bookshelve speakers in the "surround back" terminals on the AVR but not getting much volume out of them for some reason. I think I got in over my head a bit, but I have always wanted a good surround sound system so here I am. I wish there was a school I could go to for this stuff because I am completely lost. I have a tall entertainment center and have two of the bookshelf speakers sitting on top of it and two of the same in the rear. The 2 atmos speakers are in the front sitting on top of the towers. I hope I can get some good advice here, I would very much appreciate it!! My system is.

The easiest solution is to run XT32 Audyssey room correction. It will ask you all about your speakers and will tell you where to hook them to the receiver. You have a 7.1.2 system. The 7 is Left Front (1), Right Front(1) and Center(1). You have Left/Right Surrounds (2) and Left/Right Rear Surrounds (2). The X.1.X is your sub woofer and the X.X.2 are Atmos speakers. If you plan to install wires behind walls and ceiling, test all the components first.Hello all. I am trying to figure out exactly how to wire my new system. Step 1 (IMO) is the owner's manual. It'll tell you how to hook up your speakers and run Audyssey.... I am trying to figure out exactly how to wire my new system. ... I wish there was a school I could go to for this stuff because I am completely lost. ...
Yes, I did run Audyssey but it did not seem to fix the problem. Maybe Surroundsound back just sucks?🤷🏻♂️Have you run Audyssey with the mic that came with your recevier?
Again, not much information is being sent through the surrounds to begin with...Yes, I did run Audyssey but it did not seem to fix the problem. Maybe Surroundsound back just sucks?🤷🏻♂️
You have Klipsch speakers with high sensitivity. You have plenty of power to drive them to loud levels. Make sure all your speakers are set to Small since you have a subwoofer.Could I be underpowered with this AVR? Would getting an external amp help? And I am using 14 gage speaker wire. Is that ok? My longest run is about 30 feet soooo?? Thank you for your help...
Would the Panasonic DP-UB150-K be an ok 4k player for my setup? Or would I be short changing myself if I pick this unit? You have Klipsch speakers with high sensitivity. You have plenty of power to drive them to loud levels. Make sure all your speakers are set to Small since you have a subwoofer.
oh. and what would be a good HDMI cable to use for this 4k player? Thank you so much!!Would the Panasonic DP-UB150-K be an ok 4k player for my setup? Or would I be short changing myself if I pick this unit?
Look at the Sony UBPX700/M or Panasonic DP-UB420-K. At the very least you're going to want wifi for firmware updates. Separate audio and video HDMI outputs are better if you want the most out of your HDR and don't want to deal with handshake issues through your reciever.Would the Panasonic DP-UB150-K be an ok 4k player for my setup? Any quality hdmi 2.1/2.2 certified cable will work fine. Do not let a salesman at best Try sell you a $100 hdmi cable, You can get a pair of good cables from monoprice for ~$50.oh. and what would be a good HDMI cable to use for this 4k player? Thank you so much!!
Or just use certified premium HDMI 2.0, unless there is a need to deal with sources that require HDMI 2.1 (4k/120Hz, 8k 60 Hz). More like $20 or less, for a couple of 2m or 6' cables.Look at the Sony UBPX700/M or Panasonic DP-UB420-K. At the very least you're going to want wifi for firmware updates. A great way to test all speakers is to turn on the Multi Channel Stereo audio mode. This should activate all speakers.Yes, I did run Audyssey but it did not seem to fix the problem. Maybe Surroundsound back just sucks?🤷🏻♂️
You can also go to Netflix and search for "Test Patterns" for a bunch of tools.A great way to test all speakers is to turn on the Multi Channel Stereo audio mode. This should activate all speakers.
