Here in the US ameriDroid carries the full line of ODROIDs and currently has the C4 in stock. I have purchased numerous untis from them (as well as others I know) with fast delivery and zero issues.
How are you powering that hub? Do you have a special PD plug that goes in the wall, or just a regular (Fast Charger)? I purchased 2 different USB power delivery hubs(Aukey and Anker) and both fail to power it enough. I have even tried the charger that came with the GTV and it will not work.t 23.976 all the time. As I said before, I don't have Netflix to test but others already verified it as 23.976 unless you get to pick 4K smpte mode which is 24.000.
The hub I have is exteremly flexible when it comes to power source. I can use any of the following:How are you powering that hub? That is what i thought. I tried the GTV charger and a quickcharge 3.0 charger. Guess i will return both and get the one you got.The hub I have is exteremly flexible when it comes to power source. I can use any of the following:
Other gubs could consume more power that requires more juice from the USB port.
- My 35w PD power charger.
- My old USB 2.0 charger.
- The USB charger come with the CCGTV.
Anything that can offer 5v 1.5A will do.
My Aukey hub worked fine except for ethernet as well. Didn't spend a lot of time troubleshooting, but did try a few different power supplies and no problems even with a 2A USB for powering the GTV.So it turns out that that Aukey hub powered the GTV if i used a chromebook charger with it, but the ethernet still didn't work correctly. I purchased the hub you recommended and it worked with the GTV charger.
Not at timeDoes anyone know if I can match frame rate to the content I’m watching?
most importantly for Netflix because I get occasional stutter here and there
I'm also seeing 4K smpte option below the 4K 24Hz option. And no smpte option listed for 1080p resolution. My GTV Chromecast is connected to a HDMI switch with audio extractor to AVR through separate HDMI audio only port. TV HDMI isn't fed through my AVR; just from the HDMI switch only. The 4k smpte option only shows up when I hook it up to the Oppo. It doesn't give a 1080p smpte choice. And the 4k smpte option disappears when I hook it up directly to my Vizio.
The YouTube nerd stats don’t show frame rates with decimals, so you won’t know if it’s the non-integer or integer rate, although there is content on YT in both variants.I'm not sure what YTTV does with framerate but YTTV nerd stats says 60fps?
It's probably easier to answer specific questions about the device at this point, or at least indicate your intended use and set up. The last 10 or so pages of this thread contain some very active and detailed discussions of what people here think. TL;DR: it depends on how you'll be using it and what your PQ/AQ expectations/needs are. What does everyone think of this new Chromecast so far?
I might get myself one either this weekend or early next week.
Did you hook it up to hotel WiFi. I've had some struggles trying to do that with my Shield. Almost bought one of those little travel routers but I'm not out enjoy to really need it.Took "Sabrina" with me and my wife to a hotel last weekend. Hooked her up and was able to watch my DVR'd YTTV shows. The three of us got along nicely.
Yes, I used hotel wifi, which was good for the most part, but bogged down as you would expect during peak times.Did you hook it up to hotel WiFi. I've had some struggles trying to do that with my Shield. Almost bought one of those little travel routers but I'm not out enjoy to really need it.
Okay, I'll break it down like this. How's the overall UI compared to its rivals such as Amazon Fire TV and Roku. And also how does it handle HDR such as Dolby Vision from various supported apps like Netflix, Amazon Video, YouTube, Vudu, etc.?It's probably easier to answer specific questions about the device at this point, or at least indicate your intended use and set up.
