Another build thread of original v1 version of
devastator .
The original thread has lots of information on the design and performance, here I will try to document the build process to help other diy'ers. You can also find build instructions from the initial builds by fellow members @
hd0823 and @
superkyle, that I myself reviewed several times as a guide for this one.
Here we go:
Materials:
Wood :
ARAUCOPLY
Glue:
PL3
Nails: Kreg's 1 1/4 coarse pocket screws.
I had them rough cut at lowes, had to use 5 sheets of them as this is not like MDF giving an extra inch. I think MDF would let you build 2 of them with 4 sheets.
Now back to my shop for some precision cuts

hope so.
1. The side panels : 48 x 30 = 4
2. The rest of the pieces, will fill in details soon.
3. Baffle Cut: The center for the circle is 11 13/16ths from the top of the panel.
4: Baffle cut with 10" radius for B&C driver.
5. Two Baffle cut outs completed:
Thats the first session effort to cut all piece except for the braces that I left it for later.
I could figure out some of the pocket holes location from other builds but wanted to test fit my cuts and mark the locations for pocket holes at the same time. Here we go:
As superkyle mentioned on his build thread the front port brace should be flush with inner baffle, lets check it:
Other End:
It came down to 7.5 inches from each side to draw the markings for front braces.

Back view:
Like I said its the rough cut from lowes, the side panel a hair bigger than original dimensions. I can trim it off with a router in the end. With bottom brace and bottom panel, the cut list is accurate and cuts turned out to be spot on. The black thing is rings thread hanging, should've taken care of it prior to pictures.
That's my second session on the build, pretty satisfied with the cuts and plan to assemble starting fresh on another day and its almost time of cowboys SNF game.
