I have recently installed a new 503cmx plasma and re-wired everything. However, on some connections -primarily a composite feed from a DirectTIVO located in another room, I'm now seeing a faint but visible diagonal "Venetian blind" affect. I'm assuming this is some kind of interference from the many wires in the system (SVHS from Sat/TIVO/AV receiver), Component (from DVD), composite (from the other room's DirectTIVO) all routed to the Plasma.

Based on the symptom, before I re-do all the wiring, anyone have a guess on who/what is the culprit and how to better avoid in either the wiring layout or via some needed filtering type device? Is this indicative of electrical interference, conflict between video signals, a connection problem?

Ground hum. To reduce/eliminate it try to put all of your components on the same circuit. You could install ferrite cores which may help also, you can find them at Radio Shack.

Do a search for ground hum/ground noise.
