Should I turn it on or not? I am using 5.1 analog out for the DD+ soundtrack.

Don't let us tell you what to hear. Try it and if it sounds better than without....sit back and enjoy.
Dialogue Enhance is not dialogue normalization, as far as we know. Is this what you mean? If not, how is it you can turn it off?
What is it called in the menu and what does it do? I guess that I am thinking of Dolby dialogue normalization. Sorry!

I played around with this setting a little bit on Phantom of the Opera last night, and came to the conclusion that I preferred to leave it off and just boost my volume at the receiver.

Your mileage may vary.

To quote the manual:

"Dialog Enhancement - To turn on or off a function that increases dialog volum of a DVD video disc playback"

"Notes"

"This function is effective only in playback of Dolby Digital recorded HD-DVD or DVD video discs"

"This function is effective only when "Speaker Settings" is set to 2ch"

"The effect level of this function vary depending on the disc"

I leave it off.
