There's a couple of AMC theaters I've been to that have some nifty dichroic lamps. For those who don't know, dichroic is basically a property where an object can pass one color of light, and reflect others.

The effect of these particular lamps is kinda neat. They have a lamp pointing upwards at two pieces of dichroic glass held at about a 120 degree angle from each other. They leave two colors shining against the wall above, and two different colors shining against the wall below. Because all wavelengths are represented, there's really not a net coloring of light in the room, but they a pretty neat to look at.

Has anybody seen what I'm referring to in your local AMC? And more importantly, does anybody know where to get these things. I'm thinking I could probably make my own if need by, but I'm guessing it probably wouldn't come out as nicely.
