16 gauge should be fine. Personally I prefer 14 gauge, but that's usually overkill.

Did i get the right guage speaker wire ?
I recently got some speaker wire it is 16 guage. one of my speakers will have about a 30 foot cable another about a 20 foot. the other 2 will have about a 10 and the center about a 5 foot. Did i get the right guage speaker wire ?

16 gauge is fine for that distance. Anymore would be overkill.
