Did you get dvds for the holidays?

I got a lot of gift cards:

With a Best Buy gift card: Star Wars III and a 2-dvd set with Hellraiser 1 & 2 on it.

With a Borders gift card: The Island

With a Publix (supermarket) gift card: Mr. & Mrs. Jones

With fun cash from Columbia House: War of the Worlds and Stealth

Also, i got one gift of actual dvds, from my best friends i got Season 4 of the tv show 24.

So I continue to add to my collection, there is something about obtaining dvds that just is so pleasureable it becomes addicting, and you cant beat it when they are free!!!

I got 14 DVDs from my girlfriend

As I have a 2.35:1 CIH, she went out and purposely chose films with an AR of 2.35:1(16:9 enhanced). I so love her

For music I received:

The Complete Stax-Volt Singles 1959-1968 (9 CD Boxed Set)

James Dean gift box. Movies are Giant, East of Eden and Rebel Without a Cause. I was impressed because this was given to me by my 22 year old daughter on her own choosing.

I started this thread, and i guess i started it a little too soon.

My wife just gave me:

The New York Yankees Fall Classic Collectors Edition 1996-2001, which is a 7-dvd set of Yankee world series games, highlights, and the full mlb dvd versions of the 96/98/99/2000 world series. Yes, i am a big Yankee fan!

Also got the Eminem cd "Curtain Call". Yeah, even an old fart like me likes him!!!

So far I've gotten these:

House of Flying Daggars (I love cinematography in this movie!)

Tombstone Vista Series (my favourite western ever!)

Serenity (I own the box series of Firefly and I loved this movie in theatres)

Sin City Extended & Recut (awesome......awesome movie!)

War of the Worlds 2 disc LE (some people hated this movie but I loved it!)

us marshals DVD

Also $90 bucks worth of Best buy gift cards which I plan on using for a xbox 360. Although ill be waiting as that's one of the top gifts. So it may be hard to get but I still have to save for a few weeks to get games but if I see it I will buy just the unit if nessarry.

Also got 15 for target. Don't know what ill get their as their movie selection is very poor even at the super targets.

I got the three Harry Potter DVDs... I told my parents to jump on the $5.99 Target special they had back around Black Friday. My dad ended up getting his own set as well.

I got the box set of all 3 seasons of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, one of the best of the '70s British comedies. In fact it's my favorite britcom ever.

Got "Flight of the Phoenix", "SW 3" and for music: "Best of Chris Botti". Hope to pick up Toy Story 2 tomorrow with left over money. Others in the family received: Season 4 ..24, System of a Down "Hypnotize", Ozzfest 10th Anniversary, Slipknot "9.0'. and Motley Crue.. As you can see a wide range of audio and video tastes in Santas bag..
