Hi there,

For some time now i've got my barcodata 600 hooked up on my Denon DVD player using RGBS and my VCR using SVideo. I've calibrated and converged everything using the Video Esentials DVD, and it looks just fine, both the dvd player and the vcr. No problems so far. But now the **** hits the fan... i've connected my laptop using a VGA to RGBHV cable to the barco's RCVDS. ( i've combined the H+V) The picture is there, i can switch on the RCVDS between vcr, dvd and vga, but the vga screen is totally out of convergence.... red green and blue are totally screwed up, while the other to inputs are perfectly converged ! I even tried to connect the vga to the RGBS input card the dvd player has been using, but it's still the same. Tried all the switches on the back of the rcvds's cards, nothing helps. Tried fiddling with Powerstrip , didn't work... HELP !!! How is this possible ?

With these projectors you basically have to set up convergence for each input.

The reason for this is because the RGB input scans at a higher rate then the S video input and the component input. So you need to make memories I beleive for each set of inputs. You said all was fine until you added the computer and this made the projector scan higher (faster).

You will need to go back and recomverge and save the settings so the projector can recall them with each input change.

Ok, thanks for the tip, but there's one minor drawback... the 600 is a very old analog barco, which hasn't got any memories.... so if i switch, i'll have to climb up to the ceiling, and fiddle with all the little switches etc....

Would things get better if i force the VGA to send out standard PAL signals, e.g. 720x576 @ 50Hz as my DVD does ? just for starters offcourse...
