Difference between LC-45GX6U, LC-45GD4U?

474 Views 7 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  jeremys
Hi,

Sharp's website doesn't yet post any details on the GD4U model. Is there any difference between the GX6U and GD4U, other than speaker placement?

TIA,

VB

All the "D" units have integrated AV with the panel while the gx6u has a separate AVC unit for connection.

check out this brochure

GD4 is silver with speakers on the side with NO AVC. The GX is titanium and has a bottom speakers with AVC. Both have removable speakers.
GX is also available now, while the others are expected within a month (the GX was delayed many months).
if you check the website then both the gd4 andgd6 are up there, so the question is how long was the gx6 on there before they were shipped so we can get an idea of how long these will take.

I would not use that as any indicator. First, there is no real reason to believe it's the same interval. Second, there were some delays in getting these out that might or might not apply going forward.

Thany you all for the help, it's much appreciated. The local Good Guys is the only place advertising any 45" model, and it is the GD4U. As far as I know, no one locally yet has advertised the GX6U. BTW, I'm in the San Diego area.
The GG at sports arena told me they had the 45 coming in when the first batch (GX6U) was coming in. I thought they had that model.

Fry's is also supposed to get the 45 "couple weeks or a month".
