I got to hear the Yamaha RX-V630 and the Denon AVR-1803 at Magnolia Hi-Fi today and really like them both.

I like the idea that each individual speaker channel can be adjusted without the remote on the Denon.

I like that the Yamaha wasn't quite as tall, but maybe that would make rear connections more cramped (I didn't get to see the back of these but can on their respective webpages).

The remote on the Yamaha seemed busier but was flatter, which I like.

The Denon sounded like it had a slightly flatter response curve, but they both sounded great to my ears.

They were priced the same and other than what I mentioned above I really couldn't tell what the differences were.

Can somebody help me with the pros and cons of these receivers?

Thanks,

Tim
