Comcast is out of hdtv boxes right now and I was wondering if I can feed the cable signal through the antenna in of the RCA and get hdtv?

If you're talking about the RCA DTC-100, I think that's what they were hoping for when they produced it, but Comcast as well as every other cableco I know of has adopted a QAM modulation for HDTV, as opposed to the 8VSB the satellite/OTA boxes are designed for.

Unless somebody knows different...no way.

All you can get via the DTC's antenna inputs with cable is analog (Channels 1-99). Higher digitals require the use of a cable converter. HD via cable requires a digital cable converter.

I could be wrong with this but:

OTA uses 8VSB

Most all cable systems use QAM

And satellite uses 8PSK.

Your probably right because I fed the cable through and only got one channel recognised, cbs.
