Visited Fry's today - for stuff I don't even want to mention And they had the DVE disks in stock. I was soooo tempted - but held off as I ordered mine from Amazon. So for those who didn't preorder, or are too impatient Fry's has em!
Be aware of the DVE version you pick up. I grabbed a copy @ Fry's and noticed that it said "NTSC" version. Looked on the back and it mentioned no less than THREE versions: "NTSC", "PAL", and "HDTV". I would imagine the one most folks 'round here want is the "HDTV" version. Alas, Fry's only had the "NTSC" version.
Okay, that had me freaked out for a moment... but from what I can tell at Joe Kane's Video Essentials web site where they list the separate versions, the HDTV version is likely referring to the D-VHS 1080i and 720p versions of DVE... so the NTSC version of the DVD should be the right one for those of us in North America without D-VHS decks...
